Thanksgiving...

This was a real Thanksgiving to remember. My parents drove the motorhome up to the foothills of the western Sierras and my wife and I drove up in the Subaru to spend the holiday. We got everything set up just as the storm started to dump. We only got cold rain but just above up the snow was really dumping. The day before Thanksgiving we took the Subaru up to Sequoia National Forest to see the big trees in 4ft. of snow and still snowing. This was the first time my wife had seen any of this including seeing it snow. As you can see in the pics with her big smile she loved the whole adventure. We had a great time with the family together for the holidays and look forward to more adventures in the future.
It was snowing pretty good when we hiked to General Grant. This is the tunnel tree you can walk through.
Here are a couple of smiles that warm even the coldest of days
Looking at life through my wifes eyes makes my heart soar like a comet

I would have to say this would make a great Christmas card shot.
The snow was soo light that you couldn't make a snowball.

How often do you get to see the Sequoias without people and covered in snow. Look at the size of the people compared to the trees in Grants Grove.
